Cookie and Tracking Policy

Section 1 — Purpose and scope

This Policy covers cookies and similar technologies on XBN websites and apps. It supplements the Privacy Policy and explains purposes, categories, durations, third parties and controls.

Section 2 — Definitions

Cookies are small browser records. Local storage, pixels, tags, SDKs and device identifiers can serve similar functions. “First party” means XBN; “third party” means an external service. “Session” generally ends on closure; “persistent” remains until expiry or deletion.

Section 3 — Strictly necessary technologies

Necessary technologies secure login, session, load balancing, fraud prevention, language, consent status and expressly requested functions. Depending on jurisdiction they rely on contract, legitimate interests or the strictly-necessary storage exception and cannot be disabled through the consent banner.

Section 4 — Preferences, analytics and marketing

Preference technologies remember voluntary display or personalization choices. Analytics measures reach, errors and performance. Marketing or cross-service tracking supports advertising or audience creation. Non-essential categories are used only when actually implemented, identified in the consent tool and lawfully enabled.

Section 5 — Consent standard

Where consent is required, it is obtained before activation, freely, informed, specific, granular and by clear action. Rejecting is as accessible as accepting; pre-ticked consent and bundling are avoided. Consent is logged and may be withdrawn prospectively at any time.

Section 6 — Cookie register and duration

The active consent center is the authoritative list showing name, provider, purpose, category and duration. XBN reviews it when changes occur. Durations are limited to necessity; consent evidence may be kept for the legally required accountability period.

Section 7 — Third parties and embedded content

Embedded video, maps, news, conferencing, payment or social-media content may load third-party technologies. Where technically possible and legally required, it is blocked until consent. Once enabled, the provider’s privacy rules also apply.

Section 8 — Browser, device and Global Privacy Control

Users may delete or block cookies in browser settings; core functions may then fail. Where required by law, recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control are honored for sale/sharing/targeted advertising. Device-specific choices may need to be repeated per browser.

Section 9 — International requirements

In the EEA and UK, terminal-device access follows ePrivacy implementation and data protection law. Applicable U.S. state opt-out and disclosure rules apply. XBN uses the stricter function-specific default where location can be reliably determined.

Section 10 — Changes, complaints and contact

New non-essential purposes are not introduced without required renewed consent. Complaints or questions may be sent to info@x-bn.com; statutory complaints to privacy authorities remain available.
